Mother's Day!

Mother's Day was very low key! Just the way I like it!! I had already got my big gift the weekend before (new gas grill!!) so I really wasn't expecting much!
The day started with me waking up sick. Not really sick but with a headache and a lump in my throat. Could feel it coming on :(  Never the less, we still got ready and went to church! My bro-in-law preached a really nice service and half way through it my throat quit hurting!!
After the service and prayers, the church gives a flower to the 'oldest' mom in the church, the 'youngest' mom in the church, and the mom with the most children. I kind of figured I was the youngest mother in the church, I usually win that one every year!! As I go up to get the flower, she mentions that I win the one for most children too!! LOL Can you believe that! Out of all women in the church I had the most children, and was the youngest!! (*blessed*) But we decided instead of me winning both flowers we would give one to my sister for having the least amount of children (1). And since she is preachers wife I think she deserved one!!
After church the original plan was to go out to eat with my mom and aunt. WELL I didn't realize how CRAZY busy restaurants are on Mother's Day! Makes sense though, what momma wants to cook on their day? So we decided to grab some dinner and take it back to my moms for lunch. It was nice, and quiet!
I got my mom a ton of goodies, and I was looking forward to giving to her!!
Gardening bag filled with garden tools, mat, and gloves, the foot scrub brush thingy from "as seen on tv" for the shower, the sticker decals for her car of all her grandkids, her fav bath wash and a new sponge, and a bottle of Kahlua! She is NOT a drinker, but enjoys a white russian every now and then! She loved everything!! And in return she got me the hanging plant stand with a new plant from the girls to give to me!! I love my mom! Michael got me some more little goodies too! He is really good with thoughtful gifts that he know I will use. WELL this was no different. One of my goodies was Neutrogenamakeup remover wipes, for waterproof makeup too. At first I was like really? BUT then I used them, and of course I will be using them from now on!! They are awesome! Before I used Jergens face cream and a facecloth to get eye makeup off, these wipe it right off, and don't stain any towels!! Sweet!
But anyway- after my moms, Michael went to work and about 6:30 the girls and I decided we wanted ice cream. SO we went to brusters, got a ice cream cone, went to the park, and decided on a walk. Abby and Lele packed their skateboards and scooters! They talked me into going on the long trail b/c it had more hills to go down. I said sure, after all I just ate ice cream and needed to burn off the calories.
I made 3 not so smart moves, #1 I was wearing flip flops, #2 I brought babies their wagon and not stroller, so I had a pull rather than push the whole time #3 I didn't bring ribbon to tie their teddy babies onto them!!! After almost completing the WHOLE trail.. at least 1 - 1 1/2 miles, we realized Madison did not have her teddy. Teddy is  HUGE thing in the house. Maggies is pink and Madison is green. We cannot leave house with out them, they cannot play with out them, absolutely NO sleep without them, they are their world. And one was missing.
We turned around and walked back hoping to find him! We walked, and walked and walked. The girls were tired, I was beyond tired, M&M no longer wanted to ride so they were walking too at this point. We walked and walked some more. No teddy. It was starting to get dark and almost 8pm, so we just kept on the path that we came on. THEN we passed a lady who informed us she found the teddy and set it on the bench at beginning of trail. BEGINNING. I was about 3 minutes from it when we turned around to go back to look for it!!! ERRRR. But we found the teddy!! We all got good exercise, and once home and clean, everyone fell straight asleep!!
It was a pretty great day =o)
I am going to post pictures, keep in mind, I did not feel good in most of these.. and I look horrible :(

..and huge.

Last weeks BUSY week, more pictures!

So I wrote this out on the 10th, and forgot to post it!! Oops.. instead of it being last week, it's actually the week before! Too much work to go through and change everything!!

So I figure while I was on a role, I would keep up with the updates!!
The last week was pretty busy!! Tuesday was M&M 18 month check up! Wed morning was the girls Donuts with Mom at school (6:45a) Thursday was Abigail's doc appt (again up at 5:30a), Friday I had a hair appt! and we had Relay for Life!, Sat was pretty relaxed, Sunday was Mother's Day!
So to start with, I originally woke up at 5:30 on Tuesday got girls ready and went to their school thinking it was the day for donuts with Mom. Well I was wrong. 6:45a, 2 cars in parking lot. SO we went to McDonald's for pancakes for bfast! (this was before the doc appt!!) After girls went to school I went home to get Michael up and M&M up and ready for their doc appt! It went great, both received their last set of shots before they go to school when 4! And they measure as follows, Maggie 23lb 7oz and 33inch long! Madison 23lb 2 oz and 32 1/2 inch long! Maggie has been 1/2 inch taller than Madison their whole life!! I guess she is the 'big' sissy! Of course they are perfect. Everything was fine and dandy! Except while dealing with getting Abby to eat better, I now have to encourage M&M to eat more!! They are border line under weight!! LOL go figure! I guess Aaliyah equals out in the middle being perfect?? My kids are SO different it is so interesting. SO after getting shots, Mommy took M&M to the park for some fun before nap time! Pics below!!
Wednesday was the actual day of the mom event, or whatever you would like to call it. We sat in cafeteria, had a donut and really bad orange juice! lol. But girls always love when I come to their school, so it was worth it! But I didn't get a picture :( oops. Sorry. But believe me, 6:45a you didn't want to see my no make up face!
Thursday, another 5:30amer (this time with makeup!) was Abby's doc appt (see previous post)
Then there is good ol' Friday. Friday was my hair appt. I decided to do a change and have my hair done auburn. WELL as of right now it is more like dark burgundy!! She says it will lighten up after a few washes! I hope so!! I don't want to say that I don't like it, but I kind of miss the highlighted brown hair I had before!! But oh well. It is just hair, in another 2 months we can change it back if I want to! A change is always good now and then. Michael likes it, so I guess that is all that matters ;)
Friday night was Relay for Life. My sister organizes the tent event for Gwinnett Federal Credit Union. (where she works) Every year we join them. If you have never been to the Gwinnett Co. Relay for Life, you MUST go next year, It is a fabulous event for such a good cause! It worked out great because my job was right beside where my sister was! Gary (Gary Martin Hayes & Associates) of Gary's Bistro hosted some of the desserts for the survivors meals! He also provided dance music my kids enjoyed very much so!! Michael , who had been sick, was able to come along, and we had a really great time!! I love being able to spend time together as a family!! Unfortunately it always seems like one person is missing here and there.
Saturday, nothing interesting to talk about. It was relaxed filled with a little cleaning and preparing for Sunday.
Here are the pictures captured!!

Easter and Abby's doc appt!

I am a little behind, yet again. Shocker, huh?

Easter Sunday was a great day!! We all got up, checked out the Easter goodies, got ready for church in our new pretty matching dresses and headed to my bro-in-laws church to meet the family.

While I love going to church, let me tell you how much MORE fun it is to be chasing after 2 18 month olds the whole time. Not so much! But never the less, still worth the trip! After church we went back to my Mother's house. Easter also happened to be my Aunt Diane's birthday, so we had a little surprise birthday celebration as well as Sunday dinner!
While my mother lit the grill and started cooking, I hid about 100 easter eggs filled with goodies/candy/money all over her back yard (bout 1/2 acre, that was fun!)
Then ready, set, go!! Kids couldn't wait, so the egg hunt went on before we ate!!
Maggie and Madison did surprisingly very well! After being showed once they got the idea and started looking and picking them up by themselves!! Abby and Lele were long gone, searching everywhere!!
Here are a few photos of the fun!

(BTW blondie is my niece Hannah!!)

After dinner and birthday fun, Michael had to go to work (boo!) So the girls and I headed over to some more family's house to visit, and luckily I FINALLY got a chance to shoot a few pictures!! Here they are!!

All in all the girls had a great day, lots of fun, good food, and time with family!

Abby's Doc appt update-
SO since my last post, when I was waiting to hear back from endocrinologist about getting Abby an appt, after a few cat and mouse chase on the phone, I finally heard back the week of Easter. They wanted to see her  May 5th!! ONE a good thing because I did not want to wait until June! but TWO a scary thing that they were fitting her in so soon, made me afraid they thought something was wrong!!
As May 5th rolled around, and I prayed more than I probably ever have in my life. My nerves were shot. Me being ME hid it very well. I don't think no one quite knew just how freaked out I was!
Appt was at 8, we had to arrive by 7:45, so we left the house and 6:30. After making a pit stop for coffee for me, and a bagel and juice for Abby, we headed on 85-285-to beside Northside Hospital. Traffic was definitely on my side, we arrived there at 7:20! I was pretty calm seeing that Abby and I had just sang our hearts out the whole way there and were having a really good time! lol. We didn't have to wait too long until they called us back.
After waiting what seemed like forever for the doc to come in, that is when all nerved came back! Abby was as calm as could be, no worries and just as happy as possible!! I love that about her!

After several 5,869 questions, and discussions, a check out of the body and breast exam (eeek) we discovered 2 things. 1- it is obvious her body is changing, puberty signs are very noticeable, underarm hair, pubic hair and so forth 2- her breast ARENT breast at all!! NO breast buds, just fatty tissue!! This being very good news to me! After being told she could start her period any day now. You start your period roughly TWO years AFTER the breast bud, and seeing that she doesn't have it yet means, I have at least 2 more years!!! WOO HOO!!!! That was just the first set of good news!
Then after a review of family history, blood work, and hormone levels, he came up with this.
She is not a diabetic, and has NO symptoms of anything near it. Her thyroid levels are fine, nothing to be concerned with there. Her hormone levels are somewhat normal, nothing to be worried about. BUT before a girl starts puberty two hormones begin to work. One (can't remember name) sends the signal from brain to body that starts the growth of hair, creates body odor, weight gain, and so forth. And then the other hormone is that of the Estrogen family which sends the signal to body to create the breast buds and for the ovaries to start working and producing eggs. When that hormone starts about 2 years later you start your period. Well luckily that one hasNOT started! But the 1st one has. Doc said this is very normal. It is nothing to worry about right now. Once the other hormone begins its process they will all equal out fine.
SO that explained all the symptoms I had worried about! 2nd issue. The weight gain. Abby just turning 8 should be in the 75-80lb range. She is 100. Doctor said nothing at all to worry about, but it would be smart to meet with the dietricion and make sure her eating habits are ok. Also she could give me some ideas and pointers on how to prevent her from gaining anymore until she begins to grow some more. They didn't want to say the word diet around her, b.c that is just nuts. But it isn't a bad idea to start trying a little harder with eating better. WELL WELL WELL. After writing down a weeks worth of food I cook at home, her snacks at home, dinners and drinks, she says I am actually doing a pretty good job. Not much to change except portion sizes. HOWEVER when we asked Abigail what she eats at school, it was a different story.
The few times I have ate with Abby she gets a water, and apples as her side. Well apparently that is just to be good in front of mommy b/c she told this lady a whole different story. She is drinking 2-3 chocolate milks a day! She doesn't even drink them at home!! So lady had a little talk with her about choosing the right things  too. Now we are working together to eat more healthy!!
So basically, nothing wrong. Just a little spike in hormones causing some chain reactions. Nothing to worry about! Whew. Thank you Jesus! We will be going back though every 4 months to keep a close eye on the hormone levels!!
So Thank you to everyone who thought about us, and prayed for her!! It could have been much worse but luckily wasn't! And I basically got a free diet class out of it with some good ideas for healthy snacks and meals! Score!!!
