1 Corinthians 13:4-8
I have always loved this scripture. From the very first time I heard it!
A friend of mine facebooked it a few weeks ago, and I remembered why I love it SO much!
I also having it hanging in my bedroom! Great place for it, daily reminder!
For those of you who are not familiar with it, it is as follows...
Love is patient
Love is kind
It does not envy
It does not boast
It is not proud
It is not rude
It is not self seeking
It is not easily angered
It keeps no record of wrongs
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects
Always trusts
Always hopes
Always perseveres.
Love never fails.
I try to remember to read this everyday. It is hard to follow every line, REALLY hard, as we are all human.
But whenever I feel like I am not being the best 'wife' or mommy that I have potential to be, reading this reminds me of what I am doing wrong, and what I need to work on.
If every man or woman used this as their guide to marriage, there would be no divorce.
It is so sad to me how common it is for woman to be married so many times, and have failed marriages over and over again. The only conclusion there can be, is there wasn't enough LOVE.
This is THE definition to real LOVE.
Do you have it??

Summer 2011... in pictures!
So, of course, I could do a blog for each month, but I thought it would be more fun to do a slideshow of pictures and phrases!
This is what my household has been up to these past few months (computerless)!
We started the summer off taking big girls out to dinner at the Kani House! Their (and mine!) favorite!! As a rewards for awesome grades and another great year in school done!!
We enjoyed a night at the laser show for it's opening night!! Awesome!!! But found out M&M not so much fans of fireworks, actually, neither are A&A! lol!
Spent Father's Day at church! Abigail and Aaliyah spent the weekend with their dad, SO it was just us 4 :(
But seriously, check out that smile on Maggie! She was daddy's girl all day!!
Daddy was a good daddy this year, he got a 'little' spoiled! Actually this was his Father's Day, Birthday, Christmas, and Valentine's gift for the next year!! LOL (just kidding, a little ;)
Abby won tickets to a braves game, from a reading program in school! We had an awesome time! Michael and Abigail were both Braves game virgins! Even though we lost, it was still much fun!! Abby LOVED it!
But Abigail is NOT scared AT all. She begs to go on a ride. (Ride meaning putting on helmet and driving 5 min down street and back) But she is a pro, she learned how to ride quickly and is actually really good. I can imagine what she will want for her 18th birthday. uuuugh. Mommys worst nightmare!
These few pictures are from our blueberry picking experience!! It was fun! It was HOT! and I will not take M&M again till they are 4! We got a decent size bucket worth and enjoyed MANY blueberry pancakes!
YUMMY!
AALIYAH TURNED 6!!!! And became very interested in soccer!! She is playing this fall at the Y!!
She had an awesome 6th birthday. Michael and I took her out to dinner, just her, a birthday tradition. She got LOTS of goodies!! Had a birthday POOL party, and enjoyed a pedicure with Mommy!!! Woo hoo!!
M&M found a new love for ice cream cones! They stole these from me and my mom! lol. We didn't plan on sharing that much!! This was the 4th of July at downtown Lawrenceville's show and fireworks on the square!
HAPPY 4th OF JULY!! My red, white, and blue girls!!
We hung out in backyard, alot. Playing in water sprinklers, and eating watermelon!!
Maggie and Madison (approaching 2 in October) now know what Cheeeese means to take their picture! They are getting quite good at it too!!! LOVE those smiles!!
Also getting quite good at coloring too! They love "peeen-seals"!
M&M love to help Daddy to anything! Including washing the bike! lol and themselves...
Toooo cute!
The girls in Underground Atlanta! I lOVE the city, and love any excuse to go! This was a good one though! We had a family outing, My mother, sister, aunt, aunts god child, Michael, Me, and all 4 girls went downtown to enjoy a day at the World of Coke and Underground! Fun Fun Fun!!
Decided 102 degrees is TOO dang out for long hair this year, and chopped it off. Will be growing it out for the fall, but I am totally loving a bare neckline!!
Although we have NOT started potting training yet, the very first time we sat Madison on it, she peed!! Good sign for future training!!
Our poor baby girl, Maggie.. she became quite under the weather! 12 days of no eating, vomiting and crying. Gastritis and acid reflux, NOT good combination! She is ALL better now, thank goodness!! I would do anything to never have to re-live those 2 weeks again. Pure torture for your child to feel so bad, and watch them not eat a bite of food. Luckily she still liked to drink plenty so no issues with that. And although she was at doctors 3 different occasions, it was never too serious, and with the right doctors call, she was all better!!
CHEERLEADING season has begun, AGAIN! Abigail attended her summer camp, and practice has begun! Cheer Off 2011 here we come!! Aaliyah, M&M love watching her cheer, and LOVE driving Mommy crazy at the ball park every night! 100 degrees, 3 kids who cant sit still or be quiet.. lol. Welcome to my world! (I must be crazy, but I love it!!)
BTW- Madison is a monkey. She has learned to climb over and out of EVERYTHING! Her crib, highchair, wagon, gates, everything!!! Only thing she hasn't *knock on wood* is her stroller!!
We spent the last weekend before school goes back running around making sure we had the 5,000 things required for starting school. A million school supplies, clothes, shoes... etc.. etc... SO we spoiled ourselves a little, and my mother and I decided a 1 day road trip to Savannah and Tybee Island would be awesome!
IT WAS!! A couple hours in the sand was enough for me to be more than ready for our upcoming vacation to the pearly white sands of Gulf Shores! But for now, we settled for this! Most definitely worth the 5 hour drive! And I can't believe we have never done that before! Next summer, we are going again, and again, and again!! Look at these faces.......
My cutie pa-tooties!! Love those smiles!!
But of course, all good things must come to an end! (kind of) School began TODAY!
Although my kids LOVE school and were very excited to go back, I am kind of sad they aren't around all day to help mommy out and entertain me and M&M. They are great helpers with their little sisters, and GREAT helpers to Mommy and Daddy!! This year they have entered 3rd grade and 1st grade!! I can't believe how fast time goes by!!
I think it is safe to say we had an AWESOME summer! And it isn't over quite yet, Family Vacation in 23 days!!!
But for now... off they go on the cheese wagon... :( *sniffle*sniffle*

I decided to go red, and cut the hair off a little for the summer. Ooooh yeah, Michael got a bike in February.
I am totally modeling on it because I haven't actually been on a ride yet.. #1 I don't have a helmet to fit my huge head, YET #2 I am scared to death!!

I miss blogging!
So for most of you know, at least those who follow me on Facebook do, I am currently computer less! I have phone and iPad... All of which involve touchscreen typing, which I completely suck at! SO just letting everyone know I am finally going to be fixed this week and will be blogging again soon! You won't believe how big everyone is!!!

Mother's Day!
Mother's Day was very low key! Just the way I like it!! I had already got my big gift the weekend before (new gas grill!!) so I really wasn't expecting much!
The day started with me waking up sick. Not really sick but with a headache and a lump in my throat. Could feel it coming on :( Never the less, we still got ready and went to church! My bro-in-law preached a really nice service and half way through it my throat quit hurting!!
After the service and prayers, the church gives a flower to the 'oldest' mom in the church, the 'youngest' mom in the church, and the mom with the most children. I kind of figured I was the youngest mother in the church, I usually win that one every year!! As I go up to get the flower, she mentions that I win the one for most children too!! LOL Can you believe that! Out of all women in the church I had the most children, and was the youngest!! (*blessed*) But we decided instead of me winning both flowers we would give one to my sister for having the least amount of children (1). And since she is preachers wife I think she deserved one!!
After church the original plan was to go out to eat with my mom and aunt. WELL I didn't realize how CRAZY busy restaurants are on Mother's Day! Makes sense though, what momma wants to cook on their day? So we decided to grab some dinner and take it back to my moms for lunch. It was nice, and quiet!
I got my mom a ton of goodies, and I was looking forward to giving to her!!
Gardening bag filled with garden tools, mat, and gloves, the foot scrub brush thingy from "as seen on tv" for the shower, the sticker decals for her car of all her grandkids, her fav bath wash and a new sponge, and a bottle of Kahlua! She is NOT a drinker, but enjoys a white russian every now and then! She loved everything!! And in return she got me the hanging plant stand with a new plant from the girls to give to me!! I love my mom! Michael got me some more little goodies too! He is really good with thoughtful gifts that he know I will use. WELL this was no different. One of my goodies was Neutrogenamakeup remover wipes, for waterproof makeup too. At first I was like really? BUT then I used them, and of course I will be using them from now on!! They are awesome! Before I used Jergens face cream and a facecloth to get eye makeup off, these wipe it right off, and don't stain any towels!! Sweet!
But anyway- after my moms, Michael went to work and about 6:30 the girls and I decided we wanted ice cream. SO we went to brusters, got a ice cream cone, went to the park, and decided on a walk. Abby and Lele packed their skateboards and scooters! They talked me into going on the long trail b/c it had more hills to go down. I said sure, after all I just ate ice cream and needed to burn off the calories.
I made 3 not so smart moves, #1 I was wearing flip flops, #2 I brought babies their wagon and not stroller, so I had a pull rather than push the whole time #3 I didn't bring ribbon to tie their teddy babies onto them!!! After almost completing the WHOLE trail.. at least 1 - 1 1/2 miles, we realized Madison did not have her teddy. Teddy is HUGE thing in the house. Maggies is pink and Madison is green. We cannot leave house with out them, they cannot play with out them, absolutely NO sleep without them, they are their world. And one was missing.
We turned around and walked back hoping to find him! We walked, and walked and walked. The girls were tired, I was beyond tired, M&M no longer wanted to ride so they were walking too at this point. We walked and walked some more. No teddy. It was starting to get dark and almost 8pm, so we just kept on the path that we came on. THEN we passed a lady who informed us she found the teddy and set it on the bench at beginning of trail. BEGINNING. I was about 3 minutes from it when we turned around to go back to look for it!!! ERRRR. But we found the teddy!! We all got good exercise, and once home and clean, everyone fell straight asleep!!
It was a pretty great day =o)
I am going to post pictures, keep in mind, I did not feel good in most of these.. and I look horrible :(

Last weeks BUSY week, more pictures!
So I wrote this out on the 10th, and forgot to post it!! Oops.. instead of it being last week, it's actually the week before! Too much work to go through and change everything!!
So I figure while I was on a role, I would keep up with the updates!!
The last week was pretty busy!! Tuesday was M&M 18 month check up! Wed morning was the girls Donuts with Mom at school (6:45a) Thursday was Abigail's doc appt (again up at 5:30a), Friday I had a hair appt! and we had Relay for Life!, Sat was pretty relaxed, Sunday was Mother's Day!
So to start with, I originally woke up at 5:30 on Tuesday got girls ready and went to their school thinking it was the day for donuts with Mom. Well I was wrong. 6:45a, 2 cars in parking lot. SO we went to McDonald's for pancakes for bfast! (this was before the doc appt!!) After girls went to school I went home to get Michael up and M&M up and ready for their doc appt! It went great, both received their last set of shots before they go to school when 4! And they measure as follows, Maggie 23lb 7oz and 33inch long! Madison 23lb 2 oz and 32 1/2 inch long! Maggie has been 1/2 inch taller than Madison their whole life!! I guess she is the 'big' sissy! Of course they are perfect. Everything was fine and dandy! Except while dealing with getting Abby to eat better, I now have to encourage M&M to eat more!! They are border line under weight!! LOL go figure! I guess Aaliyah equals out in the middle being perfect?? My kids are SO different it is so interesting. SO after getting shots, Mommy took M&M to the park for some fun before nap time! Pics below!!
Wednesday was the actual day of the mom event, or whatever you would like to call it. We sat in cafeteria, had a donut and really bad orange juice! lol. But girls always love when I come to their school, so it was worth it! But I didn't get a picture :( oops. Sorry. But believe me, 6:45a you didn't want to see my no make up face!
Thursday, another 5:30amer (this time with makeup!) was Abby's doc appt (see previous post)
Then there is good ol' Friday. Friday was my hair appt. I decided to do a change and have my hair done auburn. WELL as of right now it is more like dark burgundy!! She says it will lighten up after a few washes! I hope so!! I don't want to say that I don't like it, but I kind of miss the highlighted brown hair I had before!! But oh well. It is just hair, in another 2 months we can change it back if I want to! A change is always good now and then. Michael likes it, so I guess that is all that matters ;)
Friday night was Relay for Life. My sister organizes the tent event for Gwinnett Federal Credit Union. (where she works) Every year we join them. If you have never been to the Gwinnett Co. Relay for Life, you MUST go next year, It is a fabulous event for such a good cause! It worked out great because my job was right beside where my sister was! Gary (Gary Martin Hayes & Associates) of Gary's Bistro hosted some of the desserts for the survivors meals! He also provided dance music my kids enjoyed very much so!! Michael , who had been sick, was able to come along, and we had a really great time!! I love being able to spend time together as a family!! Unfortunately it always seems like one person is missing here and there.
Saturday, nothing interesting to talk about. It was relaxed filled with a little cleaning and preparing for Sunday.
Here are the pictures captured!!
